Growing up in a home where wine always played an important role in the daily enjoyment and fulfillment of the good life inspired Jean-Marie Truchard, founder of Lagniappe Wines to continue her family winemaking tradition dating back to the 1880’s. Jean-Marie created Lagniappe Wines to showcase some of the distinctive styles of Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast and Anderson Valley. Based out of NYC, the boutique producer pronounced ‘lan-yap’, derived its intriguing name from the French-Creole word for a “small unexpected treat”; that little something extra that expresses the spirit of enjoyment. A brilliant drink is one that makes you happy.
Each bottle from the Lagniappe collection contains an elegant balance of flavors; a small luxury that invites you to savor the special moments in your day. Perhaps your joy in life comes from a handwritten card from an old friend, reading a great book, cooking a delicious meal, a smile from an attractive stranger, a rose that holds its bloom much longer than expected, or a mere kind gesture. Whether it’s dinner with friends, a picnic in the park, or an amorous adventure for two, Lagniappe wines offers a deliciously delightful way to enjoy life’s little pleasures because every day should be a celebration.
*Animal lovers, all the wines in the collection are vegan. No animal products were used in their production. Profits from the sales of Lagniappe Wines go to benefit animal charities such as Farm Sanctuary, Humane Society of the United States, Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, ASPCA and PETA.
